Doug McGraw of McGraw Hardscapes had trouble being found. He’s great at what he does, but people just weren’t finding him in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). So, Brill Creative Group redesigned his old website in an SEO-friendly WordPress format. We did a little competitive research and adjusted his keywords and alt descriptions accordingly.

Since implementing some new Search Engine Optimization tactics he has more than doubled the traffic he had been getting. More Google hits = more customers! Through some simple page tweaks and analyzing what the competition was doing, we were able to get him some stellar results.

The main challenge with this site was really the lack of text content. So, we did a little creative work and made his website more of a “landing page.” All of the content is really one page. This actually keeps visitors on the site longer despite the lack of “interior” pages. This approach has worked so well that we have incorporated this practice for similar “less text heavy” websites.

One of the coolest features, in our opinion, is the implementation of a cool pop-up gallery feature that encourages social sharing (see screenshot to the right). See it in action here.
